The seventh edition of the seven–day Chau Jhumur Utsav hosted by the local artists has become a major festival in Purulia district. 28 Chau teams from different blocks and 2 Jhumur teams performed at the festival in Bamnia. Honorable Minister Sri Shanti Ram Mahato, local MLAs, dignitaries, and officials from district administration came to see the festival and enthuse the artists. There was a total audience of more than12,000 including audience from outside Purulia.
