The fourth edition Chau Mask mela at Charida was inaugurated by eminent artists like Dwijen Mahato and Nepal Mahato along with officials from WBKVIB. There were around 60 stalls in the mela premises offering a variety of Chau masks for sale. The mela pulled in a huge crowd from the local areas. Around 1,500 people from Kolkata and other district towns came to see the festival. 6 Chau teams from different areas of Purulia and the famous Anjana Mahato and her Jhumur team performed at the festival.
